🧬 What Your DNA Can Reveal About Your Health
Did you know your genes can influence how your body processes food, detoxifies toxins, handles stress, and even how well you respond to exercise?
Modern DNA testing allows us to look at small genetic variations that may affect:
✨ Cholesterol and heart health
✨ Blood sugar balance and insulin sensitivity
✨ Methylation and detox pathways
✨ Inflammation and immune response
✨ Vitamin D, B12, and nutrient metabolism
✨ Lactose or gluten intolerance
✨ Fat metabolism and weight management
✨ Sleep patterns, energy levels, and exercise performanceThis type of testing is done using a simple bloodspot sample and provides lifelong insights – your DNA doesn’t change.
💡 Why this matters:
Instead of guessing what supplements, foods, or lifestyle changes might work for you, genetic testing helps create a personalised wellness plan based on your unique biology.
For example, results may show:
• a higher need for methylated B vitamins
• slower caffeine detoxification
• a predisposition to higher inflammation
• or increased sensitivity to saturated fatsWith this information, we can tailor nutrition, lifestyle, and supplementation in a much more targeted and effective way.
🌿 At Wellness Roots, DNA testing is used as a tool to support a personalised, natural approach to gut health, hormones, and long-term wellbeing.
If you’ve ever felt like “I’m doing everything right but still not seeing results,” your genetics may hold some of the missing pieces.
